Northern Norway offers some of the best whale watching opportunities in Northern Europe. Trips operate from a variety of ports although Tromsø tends to offer the biggest variety.
Humpback, Minky and Orca are occasionally seen around Senja, Lyngen and Kvaenangen areas but springer whales, porpoises and dolphins are commonly seen all around the coast.
Whale watching trips are usually run during the spring and summer months but increasingly trips during the autumn and winter are rewarding visitors with numerous sightings of the spectacular Orcas.
As well as organised trips, you may be lucky enough to spot whales while fishing, cruising or even kayaking!
