During the summer, Troms region really does offer something for everyone!

Summers in Northern Norway, well above the Arctic Circle, provide 24 hours of daylight. This is the land of the midnight sun when the sun never drops below the horizon. Only in the far northern latitudes and during the summer months can this be experienced. May to early August is the time of the “Midnight Sun”, a truly unique summer experience.

Imagine hiking in scenic valleys or climbing the coastal mountains for stunning views and vistas. Cycle quiet country roads. Take a boat out into sheltered fjord to fish, for bird watching or whale watch. or enjoying the cosmopolitan atmosphere of Tromso City – known as ‘The Paris of The North’! Packed with lively bars, restaurants and shops, this lovely harbour city is a great place to visit or even make a base for excursions.

With its rugged beauty and temperate summer climate, the regions of Northern Norway really do offer a quite spectacular choice of things to see and do. The abundant plant life and wildlife offer stunning photo opportunities. Whales, sea eagles, golden eagles, moose, reindeer and even the shy lynx may be spotted during your stay.

For the walking enthusiasts, summer is the perfect time to take in the clean air and pleasant surroundings. Daily hikes with and without guides cater for most levels of fitness.
