High Summer Activities

A superb family and group resort offering a year round leisure and activity holiday experience. This new resort provides a high standard of accommodation and amenities, all within a short drive of Bardufoss Snowman International Airport (15 minutes). Tromsø is only 90 minutes drive on scenic roads. A range of activities and themed days are arranged in resort and include, Sami excursions to feed the reindeer, Skiing, Reindeer Sled rides, Husky dog sledding, Northern Lights, traditional Sami tent (larvo) in White Spring... and hiking/walking, birdwatching, horse riding in the valley and mountains, trout fishing in lakes and the Målselv River (char) and salmon fishing in the Målselv River.

There are excellent photographic and painting opportunities as the region enjoys superb light and scenery. This is a brand new resort that fits perfectly in such a scenic region offering a true wilderness experience with high standards of comfort and amenities. Families are well catered for and the Sami Culture is genuine and an enjoyable experience. Bluenisseland is a Norwegian theme park built into a mountain, great for kids of all ages.

With excellent snow conditions from November to April this new mountain ski resort offers good skiing for all levels. There is a ski school and all equipment is for hire. The apartments, café/restaurant/shop is located in the middle of the ski resort, the drag lifts are close by making this a small, well planned and convenient resort ideal for families. The Northern Lights can often be seen on clear nights from November to late March, they are a natural phenomena.

The Polar Wildlife Park is a must see excursion, here you will see lynx, wolverine, arctic fox, musk ox and in summer brown bear. This park is open year round and has a restaurant. The project is extremely well planned, its spacious and blends perfectly within its natural setting.

The Målselv Fossen (falls) are some of the most beautiful in Europe and are a year round attraction. In winter they freeze almost solid and in summer the Malsev River offers exceptional and good value fishing for salmon and char. Mountain lakes also contain stocks of lake char.

In winter its possible to take short trips with husky dog sleds or experience an adventure up to the high mountain plateaus on skidoos with the Sami as they feed their reindeer.

In summer horse riding trips can be arranged in the stunning Målselv Valley or along the mountain ranges. With such unspoilt and enchanting scenery, there are excellent photographic opportunities. Those interested in botany will be amazed by the variety of alpine plants which bloom in the short summer months. This is a truly year round Arctic Experience with the chance of seeing the Northern Lights in winter and the Midnight Sun in summer.

Accommodation: Self Catering

A choice of superbly appointed apartments, built in traditional style and luxuriously furnished throughout. These apartments are located within a short walk of the reception centre with shop and café/restaurant/bar.

Each apartment has a lounge/dining area with fitted kitchen, well appointed bathroom with shower, 2, 3 and 4 bedrooms. Some bedrooms have a double bed, others lower and upper beds.

Chalets; A range of privately owned and individually furnished chalets offering 2 to 3 bedrooms are available to hire. As one would expect they are furnished to a high standard and fully equipped for self catering.

All heating/lighting/linen is included.
