The self-assured capital of the Arctic, Tromsø is a city of dazzling contrasts. The largest city north of the Arctic Circle it is ringed by a spectacular girdle of mountain landscapes and ice encrusted fjords and is home to the world’s northernmost university, brewery and cathedral, making it at once a city of captivating scenic and cultural diversity. The city itself has a fascinating architectural inheritance and many of its 19th century buildings still remain, whilst the distinctly unique Arctic Cathedral is one of the city’s most iconic modern landmarks. Inspired by Norway’s absorbing folklore and natural beauty its simple interior lends prominence to a spectacular triangular stained-glass window that fills an entire wall. A rich mix of native cultures also affords a unique insight into the Arctic’s indigenous traditions and Trømso can boast a lively nightlife and a number of excellent restaurants that serve a variety of dishes based on Arctic ingredients.

January to late March is an ideal time to cruise the Norwegian Coast and view the Aurora (Northern Lights). The coastline scenery is stunning, ships are comfortable with well appointed cabins and good on board facilities..
 
Late May into early August is the time to cruise the land of the Midnight Sun. Eternal daylight during these summer months.
 
We offer a range of special itineraries with flights to Bergen, Trondheim and Tromso. Cruises can be from 2 nights, 4 nights or longer. We have a range of great value sailings with the option to add City Stays and a variety of activity attractions.
