High Summer Activities

One of Norway’s most professional husky dog operators.  Located just 25 minutes from Tromsø City, this top activity centre offers treks of just a few hours to 4 day trips out into the Arctic Wilderness. You may see wildlife including Moose, Lynx, Wolverine and Reindeer.

There’s a good chance of viewing the Northern Lights. You will experience a unique activity with experienced mushers and energetic and eager huskies that are renown for their hard working attitude, spirit and friendliness. They work tirelessly for you and become your friends. These specially bred and trained husky dogs just love to journey out and enjoy the experience as much as you.

All warm clothing is supplied from boots, gloves and hats to warm winter suits. You travel light and are encouraged to operate your own dog team. The ideal season is generally March to April for the longer treks. Part and day treks take place from November to early May.  Treks take place close to Tromsø and the first night is spent in a traditional Sami Style Larvo.. All meals included, trail accommodation is in small tents.


Sea Kayaking, Mountain Hiking and Mountain Climbing are on offer from a team of outdoor activity specialists operated by the Villmark Centre. These are day treks and operate June into September. Fully Guided. Perfect for clients seeking to combine a City Stay with outdoor adventure.
